Growing in harmony with nature to provide nutritious, locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Welcome to Pear Tree Community Farm Project

Whilst still in the early stages of conception, we’re delighted to share that we now have a preliminary agreement to purchase land right in the heart of Freshford and Limpley Stoke!

Our vision is to create a community-led market garden; a thriving, nature-friendly space producing nutritious, locally grown fruit and vegetables.

By working in harmony with nature, we aim to create a space where the community, the growers, the soil and local wildlife can all flourish.

Guiding Principles

Healthy Food

Pear Tree Community Farm will strive to produce healthy, nutrient dense fruit and vegetables by avoiding the use of synthetic agrochemicals and promoting soil health. A healthy soil ecosystem increases the uptake of nutrients by plants, thereby increasing the nutritional value of our food.

Nature

The farm will be a place of abundance where nature can thrive alongside food production. It will employ nature-friendly farming practices, working to sequester carbon by restoring soil health, to provide additional habitat for wildlife and to increase local biodiversity.

Community

The farm will be a hub for the community, promoting wellbeing by bringing people together and building knowledge and skills around growing healthy food.
